Karen Zimmer - my cancer is gone

20/06/2026

In 2022, I was treated for cancer and was subsequently declared cancer-free.

A year later, a scan revealed the same imaging pattern as before, approximately one centimeter from the original surgical site. The lesion was very small, and I chose to pursue a combination of alternative approaches to see whether I could resolve the issue without further intervention.

One of those approaches was Livets Diæt, and I believe it played a crucial role in my journey.

I am an investigative journalist by training, having received my education in the United States. In my search for alternative options, I came across credible studies from respected institutions, including leading American universities, identifying the gut microbiome as an important factor and marker in relation to cancer risk and recovery.

I also studied the work of microbiologist Thomas Seyfried, whose decades of empirical and laboratory-based research have suggested that ketogenic dietary approaches may influence the development of certain tumors, including brain tumors.

I followed Livets Diæt for two and a half months.

Thermographic assessments—first performed by Lars Madsen after two and a half months, and later at a cancer treatment clinic in Germany by specialized physicians—as well as additional imaging performed by a breast radiologist in Denmark, showed healthy tissue. The findings have remained unchanged ever since.

At the same time, analyses of my gut microbiome conducted by a specialized laboratory in Germany returned results that the physicians described as an unusually well-balanced microbiome.

Considering that I had struggled with inflammatory intestinal conditions for most of my life, this was both surprising and encouraging.

Without any doubt, Livets Diæt was an important part of the rebalancing process that laid the foundation for the good health I enjoy today.

Kind regards,

Karen Zimmer
